Paternity leave should be supported and celebrated. Working fathers should have the opportunity to care for their children. The more men take time off to care for their dependents, the more paternity leave will be normalized. The next time one of your colleagues celebrates fatherhood, ask him if he has considered shared parental leave as a way to help normalize paternity leave.
