“Be clear that society does not believe that women who are in leadership are therefore neglecting their roles as parents, that parenting is equally carried by men and women, that the structures are in place to support that. And that there isn’t a culture of not just discrimination against women, but cultural norms that degrade women who work when their kids are young. It’s a combination of things that are cultural, that are structural, that are encouraged in all aspects of society. There’s not just putting structures in place, not just encouraging them in every way, but measuring progress year by year and resilient focus on it.”
