Everyday Sexism Project

“Know your rights, be aware of the fact that support is out there, that it isn’t normal, that it isn’t okay! It isn’t just the way things are. You do have a right to speak up. Speaking out as a group can really help. There’s a reason why women feel worried that they’ll be seen as rocking the boat or making a fuss about nothing if they come forward. But if a group of women raise an issue together, it makes it much more difficult to scapegoat one of them and for it to affect their careers. Standing together can really make a difference in trying to tackle these things.”
